We have a fun and friendly work atmosphere that makes coming to the office an enjoyable experience. Our dental team makes each visit to our office a positive, pleasant experience for all of us and our patients.
Dr. Katherine J. Seibert (Ketcher), DMD
Dr. Kathie Seibert (Ketcher), also fondly known as ‘Dr. Kathie’ to patients and staff, came to Washington State while serving the military and decided to open her practice here in Shelton in 2004. Read more about her in her biography.
Dr. Stephen K. Edwards, DMD
Dr. Edwards and Dr. Kathie worked together in the Army and formed a strong working relationship. Dr. Edwards worked with us on the Fridays he wasn’t working on base. At the end of his term of service in the military, he joined our office full time. Read his biography here.
Daniel Walsh, DMD
Dr. Walsh has been a part time associate dentist with us for the last two years. We are happy to announce Dr. Walsh will be joining us full time starting February 2017. Read more about Dr. Daniel here.
Jordan M. Buhr, DMD
Dr. Jordan Michael Buhr was born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota. He graduated from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and Political Science. Dr. Buhr attended the Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry in Portland Oregon.
Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Buhr was selected to attend a highly competitive 12-month Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Fort Campbell, Kentucky with the U.S. Army where he trained extensively in all areas of dentistry. Dr. Buhr was then stationed overseas in Stuttgart Germany, where he proudly served service members of the Army, Navy, Airforce, Coast Guard, and their families. During his time in Germany, Dr. Buhr completed his Advanced Clinical Practice training in General Dentistry.
Dr. Buhr recently returned to the West Coast as an Active Dentist at Joint Base Lewis-McChord with his wife, Cassandra and their daughter, Kathryn. His compassionate and caring personality allows Dr. Buhr to communicate with his patients to understand their oral health goals and provide exceptional quality dentistry.
In his free time Dr. Buhr enjoys exploring the great outdoors, ice hockey and spending time with his family.
Felisha is our insurance coordinator. She is the ‘go to’ person for all of your insurance needs. She will work to help find you the the best financial options for your care. She is happy to submit your insurance as a courtesy, and help you understand your benefits.
Felisha was born and raised in Tumwater, WA. She is a proud parent of two! Her daughter, Brielle, is 4 years old and her step-son, Taylor, is 20 years old. Felisha and her family enjoy camping, target practicing, going to the ocean, & enjoying the great outdoors. Felisha & her fiance’ recently purchased her family home and are looking forward to remodeling and making it their own.
Kim will be the first face you see when you enter our office. She is one of the three front office ladies you might speak to when calling on the phone. She is happy to help you with your scheduling needs and is our ‘go to’ person for VA pre-authorizations.
Kim grew up and lives in Olympia with her two little boys and dog. She is very family oriented and loves to laugh. When Kim has free time, she likes to spend it with her boys and family outdoors. She really likes snowboarding, wakeboarding, hiking and loves to be on the water.
Nika has been a part of the Shelton Dental Center team since 2006. She went to Bates Technical College for Dental Assisting and is now our Human Resources manager for both offices. She trains other staff members new techniques and procedures to improve their skills. She is not limited to the front or back office, she also is able to to do small repairs and maintenance as needed. Nika is now our HR Manager and splits her time between our Shelton and Elma offices.
Nika has been the office problem solver by thinking outside the box. She is ready to help out when needed and is happy to help patients understand their dental health and procedures that may be needed.
Nika and her family live on the Key Peninsula in the Vaughn area. Nika likes to read, work in the yard, watch movies, nurture her creative side with different art projects and of course spending time laughing with her family and friends.
Kendal joined our team in 2017 as our Insurance Eligibility Reviewer. She is currently attending South Puget Sound Community College to become a Certified Dental Assistant as a stepping stone to advancing her education to become a Dental Hygienist. Dr. Kathie has been very kind to provide an opportunity for Kendal to learn the dental field while she pursues a related career. Kendal enjoys being a part of the positive outcome that dental treatment brings to patients lives.
Away from work, Kendal enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as being outdoors and traveling.
Nicki started working with us while our hygienists went on maternity leave in 2012. She proved to be such an asset to the team, we brought her on as a permanent employee. Nicki was a dental assistant for 10 years in both a general dental office and endodontic specialty office before going back to school to become a hygienist. She graduated hygiene school in 2011. Nicki is a skilled and informative dental professional who strives to make your visit comfortable.
In Nicki’s spare time she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with friends and family.
Allison has been with the Shelton Dental Center team since 2016. She attended Clark College where she received her degree in Dental Hygiene in 2012. Allison went on to further her education with Eastern Washington University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene in 2013 which provided her with more training in education and dental public health. Allison enjoys working as a dental hygienist in WA state because she can practice restorative dentistry along side our dentists. If you need a simple cavity filling you may see Allison for those appointments as well as your cleanings. She loves that she can provide so many different services to her patients and especially enjoys when her patients get excited about their new healthy and beautiful smiles.
Allison and her husband grew up in the Lewis county area but have been living in Olympia for the last four years. They have a daughter and a son and two cats; Gumby and Cheeto.
Kandace began working with our team in early 2017 when she moved back to her hometown of Olympia. She started in the dental field as an assistant at the age of 18. She gained experience in general dentistry and an orthodontic specialty office. She soon decided to pursue a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene and graduated from Utah Valley University in 2016. Kandace’s favorite part of being a Dental Hygienist is being able to be part of a positive change and preventing disease through education.
Kandace lives in Olympia with her husband and their three cats. Kandace and her husband love kayaking, exploring the Pacific Northwest, and spending time with family.
Kelly joined our team 2010 as a Dental Assistant and a few short years later, she was promoted to Office Manager. Kelly enjoys building relationships with her patients through sharing her vast dental knowledge. She is happy to help you and your family with your dental questions.
Kelly lives in Lacey with her husband and three children who play soccer and basketball and loves spending time outdoors with family.
Michele joined our team in 2013. Michele is a certified dental assistant who graduated from Clover Park Technical College in 2004. It is with enthusiasm and dedication that Michele has chosen the field of dentistry. Michele enjoys building personal and professional relationships with her patients while helping them fulfill their dental needs.
Michele lives in Shelton with her husband, Dave. They have two lovely adult daughters who live nearby. In her spare time, she loves to be outdoors. Her hobbies include camping, gardening, fishing, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Many of you may have already met our newest assistant, Dr. Kathie’s son, Geored. He started working with us on and off as a sterilization tech in high school. He is home from college where he studied Auto Technology. He is excited to learn more about the dental field while doing on the job training. He is even thinking about going back to school to become a dentist.
Geored lives here in Shelton with his two dogs, Adelaide and Mouse. He likes to spend time with family and friends barbecuing. He is passionate about skateboarding, snowboarding, and building drift cars.
Sammantha graduated from Everest College with her Dental Assisting degree in 2016. Sam completed her internship hours with both of our offices. Upon graduation, we offered Sam a position here at Shelton Dental Center. Sam has an easy going attitude, a bright caring smile that makes patients feel welcome and at ease.
Sammantha is a dedicated mother of two little girls and a lovable pit bull. Sam and her girls live here in Shelton. Spending time outdoors, camping, and spending time with family are a few things Sam enjoys.
Laurin was born and raised in Western Washington. She attended South Puget Sound Community College and earned her AA, she also joined the Dental Assisting program with SPSCC and earned her AS. After being a dental assistant for several years, Laurin went back to school for the Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary program to earn her certificate and Washington State license to allow her to place fillings after the dentist cleans out the decay and preps the tooth for the filling.
Laurin and her husband, Jake, live in Tumwater with their cat. Laurin loves to bake and creates beautiful, edible, works of art. She also plays softball and enjoys gardening.
