Meet the Office Staff – Shelton Dental Center

Kim

Kim is our Treatment plan Coordinator and Front Office Manager. She has worked with both of our offices, Shelton Dental Center and Elma Family Dental. She came to our offices with both dental and marketing experience. She is the person who deals with insurance companies, can help you understand your benefits, and can help you with care credit.

Kim grew up and lives in Olympia with her two boys, baby daughter and dog. She is very family oriented and loves to laugh. When Kim has free time, she likes to spend it with her kiddos and family outdoors. She really likes snowboarding, wake-boarding, hiking and loves to be on the water.

Bernie

Bernie is our Recall Coordinator, helping you make your cleaning appointment if it’s been a while since you have been in the office. She used to work at a private counseling office in Lakewood as an office manager for nearly five years. She enjoys helping people by working in the medical and dental fields.

Bernie grew up in Lacey and Olympia area and went to school in Illinois at McKendree University, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing with a minor in management. In her free time, Bernie enjoys bowling in leagues with her husband and his parents, vacationing in Seaside, spending time with friends, and hanging out with her two cats.

Nika

Nika has been a dental assistant since 2004, graduating from Bates Technical College. She has been working at Shelton Dental Center since 2006. Nika works in the office as well as assisting in patient care. She is one of our office managers and she is happy to explain dental treatment and conditions.

Nika lives on the Key Peninsula. She loves exploring quirky spots like the McMenamins Brew pubs and properties, traveling, home DIY projects, and spending time with family and friends.
